Henry Vu, OD, is the experienced optometrist at Dove Creek Vision in San Antonio, where he puts patient health and outcomes above all else. Dr. Vu takes an integrative approach to eye care, partnering with his patients to design a plan that meets their vision needs, utilizing a combination of cutting-edge treatments and alternative therapies.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts in finance from Cal State Long Beach, Dr. Vu went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry at Marshal B Ketchum University.
Prior to joining Dove Creek Vision, Dr. Vu gained valuable experience working in refractive surgery centers in El Paso and San Antonio. He also proudly served the Tigua Native American Pueblo in El Paso. His ultimate goal was to always serve his community and help change the patient perspective on the value of eye care by making it accessible and affordable for all.
Dr. Kim Ip is a dedicated and compassionate optometrist who has been providing exceptional vision and eye health care since earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2012. During her training, she completed clinical externships at the San Diego Naval Medical Center and the Data Point VA Clinic in San Antonio, where she gained extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions.
Her diverse clinical background has equipped her with expertise in primary eye care, contact lens fittings, and the treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Ip is passionate about patient education and takes pride in helping individuals understand their vision needs while providing personalized care in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ip enjoys spending time with family.
Dr. Stephanie Kai is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and Therapeutic Optometrist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, from the University of California, Davis. She went on to pursue her passion for eye care at the University of California, Berkeley, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree.
With experience at the Veteran Affairs in Arizona and California, Dr. Kai provides her expertise in dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular diseases. She also prescribes eyeglasses and contact lenses including multifocal and colored contacts. She works with ophthalmology offices that provide LASIK, and cataract surgery. She had Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery herself.
Before the pandemic, Dr. Kai practiced in San Antonio, where she quickly fell in love with the city’s small-town charm and warm, welcoming community. In 2020, she returned to California to be closer to family. Now, she’s excited to return to Texas and once again provide comprehensive eye-care services to patients in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, Dr. Kai enjoys kickboxing, swimming, visiting theme parks, and traveling.
